Welcome to SFX Machineā„¢ Demo 1.11 Read the "About SFX Machine Demo 1.11" document for complete instructions on installing SFX Machine. Using SFX Machine with Host Programs which use DAE or Other Direct Audio Drivers Note that all Premiere plug-ins preview using the Sound Manager. If your host application uses DAE or another non-Sound Manager software, you may need to select one of the following options before invoking SFX Machine: 1. Set the host application to use the Sound Manager as its audio system, or 2. If you set the audio system to DAE or other non-Sound Manager software, you must set your Sound (or Monitors and Sounds) Control Panel to use the built-in audio for preview playback. If you are using Vision or Studio Vision Pro 3.5 with DAE, upgrading to version 3.54 or later will disable DAE while the plug-in is active, allowing you to preview using the Digidesign Sound Drivers without conflicting with DAE. Memory Allocation Most crashes or related problems while using SFX Machine are due to insufficient memory being allocated to the host program. Quit out of the host program and select "About This Computer..." under the Apple menu. Check to see how much is available in the "Largest Unused Block" category. Subtract at least 0.5 MB from this amount to give the system some slack (technical term). Select the host program's icon in the Finder, choose "Get Info..." from the Finder's File menu, and enter the desired amount in the Preferred Size field.
